Information on when a particular show will be airing in any market

Below is an important note regarding how to calculate when each particular show is scheduled to air in the local communities around the county (our national affiliates).

Every Wednesday, we release pre-taped "AIDS & the Issues" shows that have been produced around the United States and send them to each of our national markets. To know when any particular show is scheduled to appear in a local community, simply take the release date for that particular show (table one) and add the number of days found under the "Delay" column for any market that you are interested in (table two). This will give you the date that it is scheduled to air in any of the markets in our national network. We have done everything to ensure that this information is accurate, however, please keep in mind that we must rely on you to notify us immediately if it, for any reason, is not. This can occur for reasons out of our control but if this is brought to our attention, we can begin to fix the problem right away and/or adjust the information below. Additionally, contacting the folks listed below for the particular market that you are interested in can help both confirm the airing date for the specific "AIDS & the Issues" topic, as well, demonstrate to the cable folks that people are interested in these shows and viewing it.

Finally, a brief note about what goes into producing the below information. We must first consider the time it takes our show to be copied & distributed, then calculate the amount of time each tape will take to be delivered from our East Coast location to each of our national markets. Next we must compare this expected arrival day with the day they air our show. We must then consider whether or not they require tapes to accumulate before airing them (Time Warner in San Diego requires having 4-6 shows in stock so that the shows exact run time can be logged as have not always met the specific 28 minutes, 30 second requirement). As you can see, this is quite a lot of effort, not to mention maintaining and updating this information when anything changes (air times, days, channels or even significant postal delays). Please do your part and let us know if anything is not correct.

The first table lists the shows including the date it was released, the topic/focus for the show (and Coordinators & Hosts), and the names of the guests appearing on the show and the information that we were given about each guest.

The second table lists complete information regarding all the markets served by our national network of local access, local origination, public access, municipal stations. This information includes the local market served, the "delay" figure, the channel, day and time our show airs, the cable contact, their position, phone number(s) and mailing addresses. We ask you to make sure you call them and let them know how important this show is to you. When they hear often from their local constituents it will likely increase their own interest in the show. This activism also helps to get the show into a better time slot and airing frequency (it may air more than once in any given market, call for details or other information from them). Any written correspondence is most helpful if forwarded to us as well (via this site can make it quite easy).

Again, to know exactly when any particular show is scheduled to appear in a local community, simply take the release date for that particular show found in the first table and add to it the number found in the second table regarding the number of days "Delay". This will give you the date that it is scheduled to air in any of the markets in our national network.

Please notify us if we are not currently in your area and you would like to bring our show into your local area, please refer to We need your help section for information on becoming a local sponsor, then contact us by email or telephone.
